Terms of Service

GlitterDates is for adults aged 18 or older. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Community Guidelines.

1. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms. You must provide accurate registration information, use your own account, and keep your password and access devices secure. You are responsible for activity performed through your account. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.

You may not create an account for another person, impersonate anyone, evade a suspension, or use automated methods to access or scrape the service. One person may not operate duplicate accounts to mislead or harass others.

2. The service

GlitterDates provides adult member profiles, preference-based discovery, likes, favorites, mutual matches, private text messaging, notifications, blocking, reporting, and account controls. All launch members use the free service. Availability of a profile or feature does not promise compatibility, a response, a match, or any particular outcome.

Preferences affect discovery and future match creation. Updating them does not cancel existing matches. A block can immediately restrict profile visibility, interactions, matches, and conversation access while historical records may be retained for safety and audit purposes.

3. Your content and conduct

You retain ownership of profile text, photos, messages, and other content you submit. You give GlitterDates a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, reproduce, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, moderate, and improve the service. This license ends when the content is deleted, subject to backups, legal obligations, safety records, and content already shared in private conversations.

You must have the right to upload your content. You may not post illegal, deceptive, exploitative, threatening, hateful, sexually abusive, non-consensual, infringing, or malicious content, or use the service for commercial solicitation, fraud, trafficking, or harassment. The Community Guidelines provide more detail and form part of these Terms.

4. Photos and moderation

Profile photos may be held for administrator review and marked pending, approved, or rejected. A completed profile needs at least one approved photo before publication. We may remove content, limit visibility, warn, suspend, restore, or otherwise restrict an account when we reasonably believe it violates these Terms, creates risk, or threatens the service. Reports and private moderation notes are not disclosed to reported members merely because a report was filed.

Moderation is imperfect. Approval of a photo or continued access by a member is not an endorsement, identity check, background check, or guarantee of safety.

5. Dating and meeting safety

You are responsible for deciding whether and how to interact with another member. GlitterDates does not routinely verify identity, criminal history, relationship status, intentions, or statements made by members. Review our Safety Tips, protect financial and personal information, and meet in a public place when you decide to meet offline. Contact local emergency services if anyone is in immediate danger.

6. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle account data, private birth dates, member-selected location, server-side coordinates, photos, interactions, messages, reports, analytics, and historical pre-registration records. Do not use information from GlitterDates to identify, track, profile, or harm another member outside the purposes of ordinary dating interaction.

7. Deactivation, deletion requests, and enforcement

You may deactivate your account through Settings, which immediately stops dating activity and hides the profile while preserving the account and history. You may reactivate when eligible. You may also submit a deletion request. A deletion request begins a reviewable process and is not an immediate hard deletion because some records may need to be retained for safety, fraud prevention, disputes, legal obligations, or backups.

We may suspend or restrict access, hide a profile, or terminate service access when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms or protect members and the service. Where appropriate, account restoration may be available after review.

8. Service availability and changes

We may maintain, modify, add, remove, or discontinue service functions. Interruptions, errors, data loss, or unavailable matches can occur. We may update these Terms when the service or applicable requirements change. The updated date will appear above; continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

9. Disclaimers and responsibility

The service is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, GlitterDates does not make warranties about uninterrupted operation, member identity, content accuracy, compatibility, conduct, or relationship outcomes. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, GlitterDates is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from use of the service or interactions between members. You remain responsible for your conduct, content, decisions, and offline meetings.

10. Governing law, general terms, and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in Nevada, United States, without changing any consumer protections that must apply under the law where you live. If one part of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining parts continue to apply. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and Community Guidelines form the agreement for use of GlitterDates.
